New Years Navy SEAL Challenge

Print PDF

Here's the deal -- I stumbled across an article that discussed the Navy SEAL Fitness test and I thought... "Oh, I can do that."  But after thinking about it, I realized I can't do the combat swim stroke... because I don't know how and I'm fairly certain I can't do 100 pushups in two minutes.  Other than that, I think I'm good to go.

Ironman to Marathon

Print PDF

I think of myself as a one trick pony -- my one trick is Ironman.  It's what I love to do and I train for that distance exclusively.

The actual training consists of a decent amount of volume but it lacks intensity.  For me, and for most people, intensity isn't required for Ironman.  That's my number one secret -- slow down... shhhh... don't tell anyone.
