I've never cut up a fresh pineapple and I probably could've looked it up on the Internet but it seemed sort of logical to chop off the top and bottom first. I realize there's probably a machine that makes it round but I don't have one of those so I sliced down the sides.
Realizing those little pointy things have little holes, I sliced a little more down the sides and then dug out those little holes with a small knife. To finish it off, I stabbed the center, from both sides, in the shape of an octagon and pushed the core out. I should probably look up how to properly do it but that seemed to work well enough. :)

It's hard to go wrong with fresh fruit -- it was delicious!
Chicken with Strawberries and Grilled Pineapple
- four boneless chicken breasts - two cups of diced fresh strawberries - five 1/2 inch slices of fresh pineapple - one large lemon - 1/2 tsp paprika - 1/2 tsp onion powder - 1/2 tsp garlic powder - 1/2 tsp fresh ground black pepper
Grill pineapple slices for two minutes on each side, transfer to a cutting board and dice. Transfer to a bowl and combine with strawberries.
In a small bowl, combine paprika, onion powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Coat chicken breasts with mixture and grill for 4 minutes on each side or until juices run clear and center is no longer pink.
Place a chicken on a plate, squeeze lemon over chicken and top with strawberries and pineapple mixture. Serve.
